Australian Cypress is a unique wood with the rustic look of pine, but hardness exceeding that of oak, making it the perfect choice for a rustic setting.
Color and Photosensitivity: Australian Cypress ranges from light brown to honey gold to cream. It has numerous prominent darker character knots as well as small splits and hair line checks. It will darken slightly with exposure to light over a few months.
Janka Hardness Rating: 1,375 lbs. (642 kgs.) By comparison, Northern Red Oak's value is 1,290 lbs. (585 kgs.)
